The Case:

In a house in the village Cernele there appeared to be paranormal things going on that lasted almost half a year. The family decided that they were being haunted by a dead relative, Irina Ciorobea, who had been dead and buried for 20 years. Even after the house had been disconnected from the electricity network, outlets and switches were put on fire. There were rocks that fell on ot the roof. The family decided to open up the grave. And the parish priest did a blessing and all. It was assumed that 20 years ago at the funeral the old village priest must have skipped a couple of prayers. That is why the girl had become Strigoi.

Fortunately (or perhaps disappointingly) some film producer heard about the case and put surveillance cameras in some of the rooms. It turned out to be a 12-year-old boy who had been fooling everyone. He scratched his own back untill it was bleeding and then told his parents he had been attacked by the Strigoi. The world including the parish priest had no problem with this solution of the case. The parents however, are still blaming Titinei Ciorobea.

The Date:

The events appear to have taken place around 2005.

The Place:

Cernele is located somewhere near Craiova
