The Source:
Montague Summers :
"The Vampire in Europe" [1929]
Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co., London, 1929
The Cases:
The case mentioned by Summers apparently appeared in "the Athenian Press" in 1890. Summers informs us that the body of a vampire had been burned somewhere on the island of Andros.
The Date:
It's not an awful lot that Summers tells us, but at least we have been informed that the case must have happened in or shortly before 1890.
The Place:
Andros is a Greek island that can be found somewhere East of Athens.
Possible Follow-Up:
You can start by checking Montague Summers version against mine. And what about "the Athenian Press" ? Is Summers referring to the press in general or is it the name of a particular publication ?
